Community Members Train To Represent BID–Needham at Falmouth Road Race

Ten Athletes Run To Support Hospital on 2019 BID–Needham Team
Needham, MA — Local residents from Needham and surrounding towns have pledged to take on the Falmouth Road Race, all in support of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham (BID–Needham). The 2019 team is raising unrestricted dollars that will support investments in clinical services and state-of-the-art equipment.
“The training, the fundraising, and the focus put in by each and every runner is always inspirational to see, especially knowing that it’s all to benefit patients and families right here in our community,” said Samantha Sherman, Chief External Relations Officer at BID–Needham. “We are very grateful for and proud of the 10 committed runners who will represent BID–Needham at this year’s Falmouth Road Race.”

The New Balance Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of the summer season. Each year the race draws an international field of Olympians, elite runners and recreational runners out to enjoy the scenic 7-mile seaside course.
